Second, this topic is a great fit for you. I agree, targeted advertising is definitely a complicated and a hot issue. When I worked in D.C, many constituents are extremely concerned about how much the internet "knows" about them.

What I'm curious about is your thesis... What do you think you will discover about this form of advertising and what does that mean to "Joe the Plumber?" For me, I would be interested to see if the government is most concerned with protecting privacy, or the internet's potential to track down threats to the United States. Obviously, this would be my direction on the issue (not that I'm ever political or anything...), but I think it would be an interesting take on the future of targeted advertising.Kristie Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04907433641985219695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-797254726302984101.post-65946584989932806102012-02-19T18:59:34.057-05:002012-02-19T18:59:34.057-05:00This is a very interesting topic! If being tracked on the internet is questionable, just image passing advertisements that uses facial recognition.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/media/advertising/intelligent-ads-can-see-the-kind-of-person-you-are-7179539.htmlgenesishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06655474155326409031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-797254726302984101.post-21782405837487247052012-02-19T18:59:14.397-05:002012-02-19T18:59:14.397-05:00This is a very interesting topic! By which I mean, yes, it is pretty creepy that Google knows what I like, but isn't it also kind of nice to see ads for things I'm interested in and not random stuff I don't care about? Something to consider anywayAndrew K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15184567886077018708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-797254726302984101.post-22315906099268215252012-02-17T09:25:24.059-05:002012-02-17T09:25:24.059-05:00This is very interesting :)
